I'm based on the outskirts of Monmouth and registered and inspected by the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) to care for up to 6 children.
I have over 20 years experience working with children, including childcare, and work in line with the National Minimum Standards, CIW, and under The Childminding and Day Care Regulations (Wales) 2010. I have a full, enhanced DBS Certificate.
My qualifications include NVQ 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Children’s Care, CACHE Level 3 Teaching Assistant, and Food Hygiene Level 2. I regularly participate in Continuing Professional Development, which has previously covered ASD Autism Aware, Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid, and Foundation Phase Wales Training.
I have a good understanding of the Welsh Curriculum and apply this in an age-appropriate way taking into account abilities, and stages of development to the children in my care. All children within my care are treated with respect. Equality and diversity are important within my childcare setting. All children are unique individuals and are treated as such. I work with parents/carers and the child to guarantee inclusion, and ensure that individual needs/abilities are of paramount consideration and at the forefront of the care I provide.
There are plenty of opportunities to share information about your child’s progress, needs and abilities, and I provide daily diaries for children not of school age.
